    Grolsch Highline Expedicion:Part III.
    Lost Arrow Spire Long highline

    Yosemite Valley, 20th November 2009 hour 22:01

Seeing another curve on our way up I'm wondering what the fuck am I doing here? Korny's face following me express the same. Yesterday evening after quick action on shorter L.A.S. Highline, running away from rain, we went down to camp 4. When we left our tents the other day, the clear blue sky showed us that american forecasts are not that accurate. So we've decided to face this killer trail again and spend at Upper Yosemite Falls another 3 days.
Janek, Faith and Jordan goes up using daylight, while me and Korny stay down for couple more hours, charging batteries and cameras. After enjoying free coffee refils, we've started our hike when it was already dark, but this time we had a little less gear in our backpacks which had made our road a tiny bit easier

Next day was also sunny and rigging of 33m beast went really smoothly, thanks to the rope that we left on the spire. I went on it first. It's hard to describe what was happening in my head at that time.
Fear almost paralised me, combination of height, exposure and location makes this highline really special and for sure the most terrifying I've ever walked. First try went perfect, my brain caught the right waves and after few minutes I let out the adrenaline, shouting as loud as I could towards the valley.
First polish send was history. Till now I can't believe I did it. Way back was harder and I made it in 3rd push.

After me Janek made second polish send of this highline and first in OS FullMan style. But we're already used to that.
After him Faith goes on and after few failures she makes it, as the first women in history.
Then Jordan and Korny tries to walk across couple of times but tiredness after long hike doesn't let them reach the other end. In the mean time Brian and Emily have joined us to also try the line.

Next morning turns out to be incredibly cold and windy. Forecast predicts rain in the afternoon and this time it looked like it will be right. Korny attempts highline twice, but wind with enormous speed takes heat out of his feet and makes further fight impossible. Upcoming clouds made us begin to take that line down and forget rigging the Yosemite Falls line.
Unrigging the highline turned out to be a nightmare, which every one of us want to forget about as quick as possible. Incredibly strong wind and cold made me feel really happy that we're still alive after dis derig. ;).
Forecast for tomorrow seems to be ok, so we plan to walk another classic highline – 30m long Taft Point. Hike up and rigging are apparently easy so it'll be a nice rest after spire lines.
