Grolsch Highline Expedicion: Part V.
Indian Creek

So, Indian Creek is done. This part of the trip turned out to be quicker than we expected. But let's start from the beggining. When we eventually found eachother after the night spent in different parts of the Creek, it was too late to go climbing, so we set up a 70m longline, but to make it a little bit harder, we made it so loose, that the sag in the middle was over 2 meters.

Unfortunately this training lasted only for one day, because the wind and rain forced us to put it down the day after. The sound of the line going crazy in the wind severely disturbed our sleep during the night. The weather was not good for climbing, rain and snow fell from the cloudy sky.
A little bit bored, we made a pulley-system to brake dead tree-branches and in the evening we heated ourselves by the happy campfire, talked about classic crackclimbs and not only that. But even Janek's enthusiasm for trad climbing was radically cooled down.

The 40cm layer of snow covered everything in the horizon. We had nothing left to do but to do the thing that we do the best - rig a slackline. Sudden falls in to the snow, Janek & Jordan walking with the foil bags on their non-water-proof shoes, everything recorder on our videocamera. It seems that instead of extreme slacklining movie, we'll make a great comedy.
After slacklining, the last obstacle was to somehow get the Honda Civic out of the Super Bowl Campsite. 3 of us ended up pushing the car, Faith was driving and Korny was sitting on the hood to put weight on the front axis. And we succeed. Now we just have to dry our clothes and tents and we'll continue our trip.
